Castles and Fairies and Chairs, oh my!

Move over MTV’s Super Sweet 16 because we found a party that tops them all! From being hosted in a a real life castle with balloon, fairies and gift boxes performers to the monogrammed carpets, water features, and a fireworks finale, this sweet 16 party sure hit the spot!

Karyn from Karyn Michael Events designed the look and feel of this event making it fun and entertaining for everyone who attended. This amazing event took place at the prestigious Oheka Castle located in Long Island, New York. The private estate of over 443 acres was built over a century ago with 109,000 square foot and 127 rooms, making it the second largest private residence in America . Karyn and Millimeter Photography were nice enough to provide a sneak preview of photos so that we can share them with you!

Guests were greeted by Fairies, Balloon and Gift Box performers from Dynamic Entertainment… that’s right, real people dressed up as balloons and presents! They entered for cocktails to a room filled with sleek water elements, real life human statues in gold and blue accented brought on from our curly willow peacock chair cap sashes.

Other amazing touches could only be made possible by the many vendors that worked hard to make this event a success! Vendors included: Florals and draping from Dalsimer Atlas, Lighting by Frost Lighting, Water Features and Lounge Furniture by Luxe Event Rentals and Fabric and Monogrammed Carpet by Event Source Design.

Guests danced the night away to the Manhattan Swing Band and enjoyed an amazing fireworks show by Grucci.

Of course we couldn’t end without exclaiming how proud we are about our contribution in making this event sassy and fun! What’s the only rental to do the trick for the perfect sweet 16???… (drum roll please)… why our signature curly willow chair covers of course! They showed off their magic in helping to transform the room into a fun and whimsical space.

About the Curly Willow Collection

Delicate strand of organzas, taffetas and chiffons are individually hand cut and sewn together to create the perfect ensemble. Our curly willows come in a large variety of colors to choose from including our signature blush, eggplant, silver, peacock, fuchsia, peaches/apricots, white, black and more. We will also do custom creations in any variety of colors if you can’t find one you like.
