David Tutera was recently asked to show celebrity-inspired wedding looks on a budget for Fox News. For one of his tabletop looks he featured our “Paillette” linen in ivory. Although this linen may be out of your linen budget, don’t be afraid to consider using a few specialty linens, even on a tight budget.
You can use one just for your cake or head table, and it will dress up your reception. These little added touches of elegance can really make a difference while still keeping within your budget.

A Special Holiday Event

Last week at the Bloomingdale’s style event I showcased three great holiday tabletop designs with the best of this season’s trends. The table on the left is a formal black-tie holiday table. This table features one of our newest black and white linen, Spanish Paisley, accented with Belle Taffeta Black Napkins. The Chameleon Chairs are dressed in our Diana Chair Sleeves, in a Chantilly Lace and Belle Taffeta combination. The table in the middle is our Avant Garde New Year’s Eve table. It features our newest custom linen collection, Marilyn, which is shown with our Shantung White Napkins and coordinating Marilyn Chameleon Chair Backs. This whimsical table adds that perfect touch for any special occasion for two. The table on the right is our Norman Rockwell Christmas table. I’ve used linen from our Lily Pad Collection, shown in the traditional moss and red colors. Our Matte Satin Red and Shantung Moss napkins accent the table, while the custom Lily Pad Moss Chameleon Chair Backs completes this home for the holidays look. It was so nice to see everyone and I hope that I inspired you this holiday season!

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to the holidays, I turn to traditional looks and creating warmth through the tabletop design. To create this holiday look I used all burgundies and red tones in our Belle Taffeta Dark Orchid for the linen, the napkins and chair pad.
Whether you are bringing together four or 40 people in your home or planning a huge corporate event for 400, this look sets the perfect tone of gracioius hospitality. I began Wildflower Linen in 2001 after a career in fashion design. In that world, one goes to a lot of events and it seemed that although textiles are very important to that industry, that so much more could be done with the most important (and abundant) elements in the room -- tables and chairs. So, I literally brought all my ideas to the proverbial table and haven't looked back.
