Home for the Holidays III
Friday, December 5th, 2008Embracing Tradition
I don’t know about you, but when it comes to the holidays, I turn to traditional looks and creating warmth through the tabletop design. To create this holiday look I used all burgundies and red tones in our Belle Taffeta Dark Orchid for the linen, the napkins and chair pad.
Whether you are bringing together four or 40 people in your home or planning a huge corporate event for 400, this look sets the perfect tone of gracioius hospitality. And as always, our gift to you is no minimum order. So please, feel free to call us, we want to help you make everything on your holiday entertaining wish list come true!

Thursday, December 4th, 2008Junebug + Wildflower Linen
Monday, November 24th, 2008What does a Junebug love? Apparently, it’s Wildflower Linen!
Last Friday, Christy Weber from Junebugweddings.com, Seattle’s top wedding planning site, posted a blog naming Wildflower Linen as one of the things she loves.
Here is her post — lots of great photos of our linen and our showroom. Thank you Christy!

Home for the Holidays II
Monday, November 24th, 2008Continuing to play with the color theme of sophisticated oranges for this year’s ultimate Thanksgiving table look, we created this gorgeous design by starting with an Iridescent Taffeta Persimmon underlay overlaid with our Empress Lace Butter. The chiavari chair skirts are our Diamond Taffeta Mandarin and the napkins are the same Iridescent Taffeta Persimmon as the underlay. In all, a look good enough to eat!
By the way, if you are just now putting your holiday table together, it’s not too late to order from Wildflower Linen. Call us at 714.522.2777 for Los Angeles and Orange County and at 415.282.7727 for San Francisco and Northern California.
Home for the Holidays
Friday, November 14th, 2008
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it is all about the table.
If you are like me, you spend a lot of time thinking how your table will look, how guests will feel when they are sitting at it and how well it will blend with your décor. And, of course, you want it to silently convey the warmth and love that you feel as your family and friends sit down for dinner.
I always consider color and texture of the cloths first, then what china and floral I’m going to use to accent the table. But, being in California, I also have to consider if I will serve inside or outside.
Since this Thanksgiving will undoubtedly be warm enough for my family and guests to sit outside, I began to play with outdoor looks like the one pictured here. Instead of combining the deep tones we associate with fall such as brown, burgundy and orange, I focused instead on accents of burnt red (Russian Linen Florence Runners) and lightening the complete look with layers of ivory (Organic Twirl Ivory and Russian Linen Light Ivory).
While this look fits perfectly with the Spanish architecture of this Southern California property, Wildflower Linen has cloths to create whatever look you desire for this holiday season.

Florals By: The Spiraled Stem

I began Wildflower Linen in 2001 after a career in fashion design. In that world, one goes to a lot of events and it seemed that although textiles are very important to that industry, that so much more could be done with the most important (and abundant) elements in the room -- tables and chairs. So, I literally brought all my ideas to the proverbial table and haven't looked back.
