I love the color red. It’s a passionate color – a symbol of not only love but of courage and sacrifice. I was able to indulge myself in red recently at an industry event. We all — Andrew Gromek at Couture Flowers, Marcella Monroy at Set Appeal and my team and I – had a lot of fun exploring red to its fullest potential. And the linen on the table is Lily Pad Red – the newest color in Wildflower Linen’s popular Lily Pad collection.
The latest issue of BizBash is out and Wildflower is “between its covers!” BizBash is one of the industry’s best places to find the latest on design ideas, trends, buisness and more. This past year, I gave a presentation on linen trends during the BizBash conference held in Los Angeles. My appearance received attention in this issue.
As for further speaking engagements, I’m going to be presenting a seminar at The Special Event in San Diego this coming January as well as a design seminar at the Catersource / Event Solutions conference and tradeshow in February, 2009.

Created to mimic the hourglass shape of elegant evening gowns and the women who wear them, The Chloe is the latest line from the “house of Wildflower Linen” to be named after fashion icons. I began Wildflower Linen in 2001 after a career in fashion design. In that world, one goes to a lot of events and it seemed that although textiles are very important to that industry, that so much more could be done with the most important (and abundant) elements in the room -- tables and chairs. So, I literally brought all my ideas to the proverbial table and haven't looked back.
