A Special Holiday Event

Friday, December 19th, 2008

Last week at the Bloomingdale’s style event I showcased three great holiday tabletop designs with the best of this season’s trends. The table on the left is a formal black-tie holiday table. This table features one of our newest black and white linen, Spanish Paisley, accented with Belle Taffeta Black Napkins. The Chameleon Chairs are dressed in our Diana Chair Sleeves, in a Chantilly Lace and Belle Taffeta combination. The table in the middle is our Avant Garde New Year’s Eve table. It features our newest custom linen collection, Marilyn, which is shown with our Shantung White Napkins and coordinating Marilyn Chameleon Chair Backs. This whimsical table adds that perfect touch for any special occasion for two. The table on the right is our Norman Rockwell Christmas table. I’ve used linen from our Lily Pad Collection, shown in the traditional moss and red colors. Our Matte Satin Red and Shantung Moss napkins accent the table, while the custom Lily Pad Moss Chameleon Chair Backs completes this home for the holidays look. It was so nice to see everyone and I hope that I inspired you this holiday season!

Lush Looks

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Over the years, I’ve held many events at our showrooms that allow me to meet clients and personally show them the many new looks that we introduce at Wildflower Linen. I always enjoy, and learn so much from, these intimate gatherings. At this particular event, held in our new San Francisco showroom, we held an event dubbed Imperial India.

At this event I worked with Nikki Khan (above with me) from Exquisite Events and the floral design firm, Asiel Designs, to create several fantasy tables.

We began with this “elephant” table. A Shantung Fuchsia Charlotte provided the underlay for the Gatsby Saffron cloth with hand-stitched orange beading.

This linen was used again on the detailing on the elephant and the underlay was repeated with the napkin and the chair pad cover to bring the look together.

This table in the above photo sparkled with the excitement of the Taj Mahal. A Paillette Gold cloth was laid over Shantung in a deep coffee tone creating a deliciously decadent foundation for this elegant table. A Tandoori Turquoise napkin, chair pad and chair sleeve finished the look while the final attention to detail – a Paillette Gold Center in the sleeve — shimmered with the finery of Imperial India.

While many of these cloths can be used for a variety of looks, I was very excited by the combinations we created at this event and the guests’ positive reactions told me that there are so many possibilities as we continue to express culture and personal style through tabletop design.

How Our Garden Grows …

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

I’m so happy to announce that three key people at Wildflower Linen have recently moved into new positions of more responsibility and visibility within the event community.

First, I’m proud to announce the promotion of Desiree Patterson to Director of Sales and Marketing of Wildflower Linen, a position well-suited for her considerable organizational skills and her intuitive ability to market Wildflower Linen and guide our image. She will also be in charge of overseeing our sales team which seems to increase by the day.

Speaking of that … we have two new Account Managers on our team — Teresa Woodral and Agnes Park – both of whom have already been with us for a year.

Congratulations to Desiree, Teresa and Agnes for being part of Wildflower Linen’s continued growth.

Photos from San Francisco Opening Party

Thursday, April 17th, 2008
The House of Wildflower: Like top fashion houses,
we hang linen according to color in custom-designed cabinetry…
… and put our latest collections on display.
Here, new chair covers are shown in front of huge
wall hangings of our brightly colored linen.
Wildflower’s “gardeners.”
Thanks to everyone who helped plan,
produce and design the event!
