This Sunday, WeTv will be airing the final episodes of “Shannen Says”, featuring Shannen Doherty’s Malibu wedding to photographer Kurt Iswarienko. It’s the last few episodes where we finally get to see how everything comes together for her big day. Of course, with the help of celebrity designer and planning of My Fair Wedding, David Tutera, the event is sure to be nothing but spectacular!

We also wanted to mention Shannen’s to-die-for 5-tier wedding cake that was created by Stephanie and the pastry chefs from  Cupcakes Couture.  The yummy layers were alternating red velvet and white chocolate cake  that were filled with cream cheese frosting and  raspberry jam! Delish!

We were told Shannen also requested Cupcakes Couture to make a special surprise grooms cake for Kurt in the shape of his own private plane!  It came equipped with it’s own landing pad, dirt path and water – made of fondant and icing of course!

We got a chance to get up close and personal with Shannen during filming in Malibu. “She is such a smart, beautiful and powerful woman!  I love her!” says Youngsong Martin, owner and principal designer of Wildflower Linen.

Nikki Reed, most famously known for her role as Rosalie Cullen in The Twilight Saga Series married Paul McDonald, one of the final 10 contestants from American Idol on October 11, 2011.  They wed in front of 130 of their closest family and friends at the Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, CA on a hilltop in the middle of the vineyards at Chateau Le Dome .

Although it was quite a blustery day, Niecy Nash of Clean House and Leave it to Niecy, married her beau Jay Tucker in a gorgeous outside wedding at the Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu, CA last May.  A special guest performance by Brandy singing the couple’s first dance, “At Last” hit the spot!   Hope you enjoy your 1 year anniversary this month!!

Other celebrities, like Stephen Moyer and Oscar Winner Anna Paquin from HBO’s True Blood opted to get married at a private estate in Malibu.  150 guest had the chance to enjoy their intimate and special moments including Moyer jumping into the ocean with some of his guests!

It looks like their love on screen in the movie STEP-UP was just as strong off screen!  Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum, seen in the recent movie 21 Jump Street,  married in an outdoor wedding at the Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu, CA.  This was the same location as Niecy Nash and Fergie.  Mark’s Garden provided the gorgeous floral decor as the couple said their vows overlooking the ocean in front of 220 guests.

Stacey Ferguson (ask Fergie) of the Black Eye Peas married Transformer’s heartthrob Josh Duhamel at the Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu, CA.  Celebrity Planner, Mindy Weiss, helped them put together a rumored $1 million dollar affair for 367 guests!

So there you have it…. Malibu, CA is a beautiful place to have a wedding.  It is obviously a favorite for celebs but also for us brides as well!  If you’re not fortunate enough to know someone with a private estate, you can choose amazing venues like the Saddleback Ranch, Church Estate Vineyards or others we’ve found like the Malibu Conference Center at Calamigos Ranch and Villa Sancti Di Bella Vista!
