Gay Marriage = Avant Garde Design
Thursday, June 26th, 2008How will the new legislation allowing gay marriages affect Californian event planners and vendors? This was the question BizBash Los Angeles posed to a number of event professionals, myself included, and published online this week.
My thoughts? That it’s an exciting development that will create another level of design. No doubt many of these couples will eschew traditional wedding design for more avant garde looks.

I began Wildflower Linen in 2001 after a career in fashion design. In that world, one goes to a lot of events and it seemed that although textiles are very important to that industry, that so much more could be done with the most important (and abundant) elements in the room -- tables and chairs. So, I literally brought all my ideas to the proverbial table and haven't looked back.
