A Showroom Visit in San Francisco

This photo was taken by Evonne Wong on a recent visit to our San Francisco showroom. Evonne, an event designer, certified wedding professional and owner of Events by Evonne, produces weddings and events in Hawaii, San Francisco and beyond. She has a great blog where she posts photos of resources such as Wildflower Linen. To see more of her photos from her visit to our San Francisco showroom, click here:

Lush Looks

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Over the years, I’ve held many events at our showrooms that allow me to meet clients and personally show them the many new looks that we introduce at Wildflower Linen. I always enjoy, and learn so much from, these intimate gatherings. At this particular event, held in our new San Francisco showroom, we held an event dubbed Imperial India.

At this event I worked with Nikki Khan (above with me) from Exquisite Events and the floral design firm, Asiel Designs, to create several fantasy tables.

We began with this “elephant” table. A Shantung Fuchsia Charlotte provided the underlay for the Gatsby Saffron cloth with hand-stitched orange beading.

This linen was used again on the detailing on the elephant and the underlay was repeated with the napkin and the chair pad cover to bring the look together.

This table in the above photo sparkled with the excitement of the Taj Mahal. A Paillette Gold cloth was laid over Shantung in a deep coffee tone creating a deliciously decadent foundation for this elegant table. A Tandoori Turquoise napkin, chair pad and chair sleeve finished the look while the final attention to detail – a Paillette Gold Center in the sleeve — shimmered with the finery of Imperial India.

While many of these cloths can be used for a variety of looks, I was very excited by the combinations we created at this event and the guests’ positive reactions told me that there are so many possibilities as we continue to express culture and personal style through tabletop design.

Wildflower Linen Featured on The Wedding Chat

Wildflower’s New San Francisco Showroom

I always knew our beautiful San Francisco showroom could be a star! It provided a gorgeous backdrop for an online video between our own Lily Yeung and theweddingchat.com.

Theweddingchat.com is a NEW online resource for brides that provides tips, trends and insights important to brides as they plan their special day. An added bonus on the site are video interviews with top vendors in the industry such as Wildflower Linen! On September 18, Lea McIntosh, the owner and producer of The Wedding Chat, visited Lily Yeung in our San Francisco showroom.

Please enjoy Episode 1 of The Wedding Chat in which Lily fills Lea and her audience in on what is hot and what’s not in terms of linen colors, textures and more. You’ll learn the best linen choices if you are on a budget and discover what’s possible when the sky is the limit. And, a discussion of linen bling reveals how you can primp your linen and more!

we hang linen according to color in custom-designed cabinetry…
… and put our latest collections on display.
Here, new chair covers are shown in front of huge
wall hangings of our brightly colored linen.

A Wildflower Grows…

A Wildflower Grows in San Francisco

When I named my company Wildflower, it was because wild flowers were so symbolic of what I wanted to say about my philosophy of design; instinctual, colorful, unconventional and individual.

And, they are ubiquitous which leads me to the next phase in Wildflower Linen’s growth. We’ve moved into a 25,000-square-foot warehouse in Los Angeles with stunning showroom. And after opening a free-standing showroom in Los Angeles at the Pacific Design Center, added a San Francisco showroom this year.

The showroom, in the Potrero Hill district, is designed to reflect the city – crisp, elegant, yet unpretentious. And the opening event was attended by the city’s top event professionals, many of whom also helped create the evening. We thank everyone and look forward to our next event there in May featuring a fresh approach on Indian wedding design.
