Wildflower Linen wants to thank you for visiting our booth at The Special Events show in New Orleans! It was so great catching up with old acquaintances and meeting new ones! We were pleased to feature our new “Garden Collection” and display over 60 new linens. We also showcased new chair covers, which will be available for viewing on our website shortly.

Get Ready For Some Fun Times – New Orleans Style!

Time flies and once again we’re gearing up for next week’s The Special Event 2010 Convention. This year, we’re delighted to travel to New Orleans for some southern fun! Not only are involved in the Main Tradeshow Event, but we are honored to participate in the renowned Wedding Luncheon and I will also be speaking in my very own seminar about how to transform a table top to be “Dressed to the Nines”! Wedding Luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 13th
This year’s renowned Wedding Lunch will be hosted in the Grand Ballroom of The Hilton Hotel, New Orleans. As always this lunch will be full of ideas that you can take home and make your own. The colors this year will include a wide palette of natural tones. The Wedding Lunch Chairs and Committee are pleased to announce that the Keynote Speaker will be Darcy Miller, the Senior Vice President and Weddings Editorial Director for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc.

Where does this phrase come from? One theory has it that tailors used nine yards of material to make a suit or according to some authors, a shirt! The more material you had, the more status you held in society. We think nine yards seems a bit generous for clothing, but not for a tabletop! The Special Event 2009

“The Special Event 2009” extravaganza is at the San Diego Convention Center at the end of this month.

I’ll be making a presentation on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 28, titled “Business Success: How to Find It and Keep It.” As the editors of Special Event magazine put it in promoting their annual namesake convention, “When times get tough, the tough get educated.” I insist you visit our booth, #1214, to see how this year’s best-dressed events will be impressing guests with tabletop linens and chair covers that reflect the utmost in style for 2009.

Between the Covers

The latest issue of BizBash is out and Wildflower is “between its covers!” BizBash is one of the industry’s best places to find the latest on design ideas, trends, buisness and more. This past year, I gave a presentation on linen trends during the BizBash conference held in Los Angeles. My appearance received attention in this issue.

As for further speaking engagements, I’m going to be presenting a seminar at The Special Event in San Diego this coming January as well as a design seminar at the Catersource / Event Solutions conference and tradeshow in February, 2009.

I’ll keep you posted closer to the time and give my blog readers a sneak preview of my 2009 design forecasts!
