Wedding 360 – The Academy of Planners and Designers
The first Academy of Planners and Designers event was a smashing success held at the St. Regis Hotel and Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco on March 14-16. Hosted by Wedding 360, this event was created for event planners and designers in the wedding industry to learn new techniques, be inspired, show off talents, connect with old faces and meet new ones. Over 150 from all over the US and Canada attended the 3 day event which included seminars by the top industry experts like David Beahm, Tara Guerald, and our very own Youngsong Martin (owner of Wildflower Linen) who was honored to be speaker alongside renowned photographers Gene Higa, Catherine Hall, and Editor in Chief of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine, Grace Ormonde! Gene and Catherine shared amazing advice on how to create a publishable wedding, Grace shared some of her favorite photos and why she chooses them for publication and Youngsong showed some beautiful images of tablescape and linen rentals, showing how they can send a photoshoot to the next level.
The first night kicked off with an “Emerald World” cocktail reception on St. Regis’s Yerba Buena Terrace. The tented space was perfectly styled in black and white lounge furniture with emerald green accents. Key participants who made this look come to life were Gloria Wong Designs, Hartmann Studios, Asiel Floral Design and Enhanced Lighting.
What a special and memorable event. Congrats to Jubilee Lau and Jean Marks for their success! We look forward to the next Wedding 360 event!

I began Wildflower Linen in 2001 after a career in fashion design. In that world, one goes to a lot of events and it seemed that although textiles are very important to that industry, that so much more could be done with the most important (and abundant) elements in the room -- tables and chairs. So, I literally brought all my ideas to the proverbial table and haven't looked back.
